Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Distribution Manager to lead and optimize our warehouse and logistics operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end distribution process, ensuring efficient inventory management, timely order fulfillment, and seamless transportation coordination. Your leadership will drive process improvements, enhance warehouse operations, and foster strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the efficiency of our distribution network while supporting company growth and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to optimize inventory control, warehouse distribution, and transportation management systems.
Oversee warehouse operations including receiving, picking & packing, shipping & receiving, and materials handling to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Determine best shipment method, prepare BOL's for all outgoing shipments, and generate shipping paperwork for UPS and FEDEX shipments.
Coordinate transportation planning and fleet management to ensure timely delivery while minimizing freight costs.
Utilize ERP systems, and other logistics software to analyze data, monitor performance metrics, and identify process improvement opportunities.
Lead demand planning efforts by analyzing sales trends, forecasting needs, and adjusting inventory levels accordingly.
Supervise third-party logistics providers (3PL), NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and freight carriers to ensure compliance with service standards.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to warehouse experience, forklift operation, packaging standards, and materials handling procedures.

Skills

5-15 years experience in logistics, supply chain, operations, warehouse.
Proven experience in warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems like SAP or Oracle, and supply chain analytics tools.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams across warehousing, Material Handlers, shipping & receiving, and freight operations.
Excellent data analysis skills to interpret logistics data for continuous process improvement.
Ability to develop strategic sourcing plans while managing pricing negotiations effectively.
Familiarity with e-commerce fulfillment processes and category management strategies.
Skilled in materials management techniques such as sourcing, packaging optimization, and category sourcing strategies.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking & packing accuracy and dispatching procedures.
Effective communication skills for coordinating with suppliers, carriers, internal teams, and stakeholders at all levels.
