Job Description

The House Manager at Progressive Careers & Housing, Inc. is responsible for participating as a member of the facility team to ensure safe and effective residential services. The House Manager assists with overseeing all aspects of the Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) homes, including, but not limited to, client care and support personnel.

The House Manager is a positive role model who is adaptable, mission-oriented, goal-driven, highly organized, efficient, and exercises sound judgment and decision-making skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure that CILA homes are in compliance with current policies and procedures and all applicable state and federal rules and regulations. Assist with the ongoing development, review, and revision of policies and procedures.
Ensure an adequate supply of household necessities, including at least one week's worth of food, program supplies, cleaning supplies, and the timely completion of maintenance requests. Maintain the overall appearance of the home.
Ensure staff provide the necessary training and support to residents in their daily activities.
Implement Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and review individuals' needs with the QIDP to ensure they receive appropriate services.
Maintain all required house documentation, including ISPs, data tracking sheets, POS documentation, and other required records.
Maintain the staffing pattern for the home and remain available to address staff concerns and provide emergency shift coverage as needed.
Report any unsafe or unhealthy conditions to the QIDP immediately.
Monitor and ensure the proper implementation of disaster drills.
Manage household petty cash and LINK funds, ensuring proper documentation and timely submission of purchase receipts to the QIDP.
Maintain company vehicles, including mileage logs, gas receipts, fuel levels (no less than one-quarter tank), routine cleaning, scheduled maintenance, repairs, and timely reporting of service needs.
Schedule, coordinate, chair, and attend staff meetings and committees, including quality assurance, safety, infection control, treatment review, human rights, clinical monitoring, and pharmacy meetings.
Ensure Therap documentation and communication logs are current and contain all required agency information.
Supervise direct care staff, including Direct Support Professionals' (DSPs) On-the-Job Training (OJT), while maintaining positive working relationships. Responsibilities also include monitoring completion of OJT packets, conducting new employee orientation, assisting with performance evaluations, scheduling, preparing job assignments, completing performance reviews, and administering disciplinary actions as needed.
Ensure all clients are provided opportunities for community integration and that their rights are upheld. Treat all clients with dignity and respect, always placing their health, safety, and well-being first.
Conduct routine inspections of the facilities and complete required reports and follow-up activities as directed.
Complete projects and special assignments by establishing objectives, determining priorities, managing time effectively, gaining cooperation from others, monitoring progress, solving problems, and making adjustments to plans.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Current Direct Support Professional (DSP) certification preferred, or the ability to obtain certification within the required timeframe. One year of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
Must possess a valid driver's license and comply with the company's vehicle operation policy.
Must be willing to accept and respect supervision, assume responsibility for assigned work, follow established policies and procedures, and carry out instructions.
Ability to handle sensitive information and situations with discretion while maintaining confidentiality.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines with efficiency and accuracy.
