Full Job Description

Job Overview

You’ll be the technical engine behind a boutique family office serving founders through the sale of their businesses. While the lead advisor owns the client relationship, you’ll own the problem-solving—building financial plans, managing portfolio execution, and running down solutions so nothing falls through the cracks.

This isn’t a traditional paraplanner role. You’ll dig into complex planning situations, coordinate with bankers and attorneys, troubleshoot on behalf of clients, and bring solutions back to the table. You need technical depth and the initiative to move without waiting.

What You’ll Own

- Build and maintain comprehensive financial plans covering cash flow, tax, estate, and risk

- Regularly update plans based on evolving client circumstances

- Support clients through liquidity events, exits, and generational transitions

- Execute portfolio management—research and risk management

- Conduct investment research, due diligence, and manager selection

- Monitor portfolio performance and implement rebalancing strategies

- Coordinate with CPAs, estate attorneys, bankers, and other professionals on client behalf

- Troubleshoot client needs and find solutions—financing, insurance, account issues—without being asked twice

- Prepare materials and analysis for client meetings

- Step into technical conversations with clients when needed

Required

- Currently holding Series 66 license (Uniform Combined State Law Examination)

- 3–5 years in financial planning, investment management, or wealth management

- Proficiency in Microsoft 365

- Experience with financial planning software and portfolio reporting tools

- Strong written and verbal communication

- Ability to coordinate across multiple external professionals

-Work on-site in the office in Franklin, TN

Preferred

- CFP®, CFA®, or progress toward designation

- Experience with business owners, entrepreneurs, or high-net-worth families

- Background in investment research and portfolio construction

- Familiarity with Schwab custodial platform

- Experience coordinating with CPAs, attorneys, and lending professionals

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related field

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
