Full Job Description

Global Parking Systems specializes in the management of parking lots, valet services, and parking management at airports across the country. Global Parking Systems has partnered with SP+/Metropolis, a leader in the parking management space. Together, we are committed to making the parking experience a first-class experience for our customers. Built on the foundation of excellence and integrity, we provide the highest level of customer service at all our parking facilities.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Basic Function: Working with the Facility Manager, the Assistant Facility Manager supports daily operations, leads employees, coordinates resources, and ensures consistency across a 24-hour operation. Assumes overall operational responsibility in the Facility Manager’s absence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operations Leadership

Lead daily airport parking operations to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent service.
Oversee operational teams, performance, and resources across assigned locations.
Maintain effective partnerships with internal teams, airport stakeholders, and operational leaders.
Manage operational disruptions, including equipment issues, closures, weather, traffic, staffing, and airport emergencies.
Investigate incidents, concerns, accidents, and claims; ensure documentation and follow-up.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, productivity, and guest satisfaction.

Workforce & Administrative Leadership

Create staffing schedules that support 24-hour operations and labor requirements.
Review timekeeping, payroll, attendance, and scheduling records for accuracy.
Monitor staffing levels, overtime, attendance, and workforce utilization.
Maintain operational reports, labor metrics, documentation, and resource records.

Leadership & Employee Development

Lead, coach, and develop Supervisors, Team Leads, and frontline employees.
Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Support hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and succession planning.
Serve as acting Facility Manager when needed.
Participate in audits, special projects, process improvements, and new initiatives.

Safety, Compliance & Risk Management

Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA, airport requirements, contractual obligations, and company policies.
Conduct safety reviews, address hazards, and ensure proper use of vehicles, equipment, facilities, and PPE.
Complete required incident, accident, and safety documentation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of two (2) years of progressive leadership or management experience in airport operations, parking management, transportation, logistics, hospitality, or a related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of customer service experience.
Experience leading multiple departments, locations, or shifts within a fast-paced operational environment, including coaching and employee development.
Experience with employee scheduling, payroll administration, attendance management, labor planning, and workforce supervision.
Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workplace, scheduling software, payroll systems, and reporting tools.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to successfully complete all required background screening, drug screening, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review.

Physical demands of the role require standing, walking, and using hands to handle cash and equipment; occasional sitting, climbing or balancing; and lifting up to 35 pounds.
