Full Job Description

Part time Front Desk needed for upscale salon (Ladera Ranch)
We are looking for a responsible, self motivated, mature individual with life experience dealing with multitasking and problem solving.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Please be located within a 20 min drive.

MUST BE LIVING LOCALLY IN ORANGE COUNTY.

Our manager Brittani McBride will be doing interviews next week.

Front Desk hours:
Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 10am - 3pm & Saturday 9am-2pm

SUMMARY OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES for Front Desk
1. Answer the telephone promptly and professionally
2. Properly book appointments and confirm appointments, resolve all appointment related issues, answer questions regarding all services and pricing
3. Greet each client with a smile, enthusiasm and energy, offering them a beverage and magazine
4. Suggestively sell gift cards and retail products by offering customers the opportunity to purchase hair care products
5. Wash and fold towels throughout the day, ensuring that there are always clean towels for the stylists
6. Help stylists maintain a clean working area by sweeping and washing color bowls and brushes left in the break room sink
7. Operate the POS (computerized cash register), accept payment, accurately give change, and provide receipts
8. Listen attentively to customer complaints, resolve customer complaints when the Salon Manager is not present and refer them to the Salon Manager if the Salon Manager is present
9. Keep the reception area, desk, coffee machine, break room and product shelves clean
10. Inventory, receiving and stocking retail products
11. Maintain a stocked beverage bar
12. Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift and make the daily deposit
13. Follow all opening and closing procedures
14. Attend work timely and consistently, including attending mandatory staff meetings and other meetings required by management
15. Communicate effectively with management, customers and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner
16. Ensure phone and computer are working and order supplies as needed for phone, computer and printer
17. Keep records for salon including stylist's total sheets, client count and retail sales
18. Write paychecks and pay bills for the salon
19. Write in salon journal daily important information and tasks completed
20. Maintain confidential information regarding the Company, its customers and its employees
21. Possess a fashion-forward, professional image - including appropriate hair and make-up that defines the company's beauty culture
22. Make daily Blog posts, Facebook updates, Instagram and monthly newsletters
23. Problem solving skills and the ability to ask for help when needed

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
