Part-Time Finance Manager

Confidential Nonprofit Organization

A growing nonprofit organization is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Finance Manager to oversee day-to-day financial functions and support the organization through a period of growth and organizational development.

This is a hands-on role responsible for bookkeeping, payroll processing, accounts payable, reconciliations, financial reporting, and supporting the Executive Director with budgeting and financial oversight.

Primary Responsibilities

Maintain financial records in QuickBooks Online
Process employee payroll accurately and on schedule
Maintain payroll records and enter approved compensation, deduction, and payroll changes
Manage accounts payable and prepare vendor payments
Track receivables and account balances
Reconcile bank, credit card, Ramp, and other financial accounts monthly
Review expenses, receipts, and account coding for accuracy
Prepare monthly financial statements and budget-to-actual reports
Assist the Executive Director with annual budgeting and financial projections
Track restricted funds, grants, and designated contributions
Reconcile contribution records with the organization's donor-management system
Prepare financial information for the organization's accountant, annual financial review or audit, Form 990 preparation, and other required filings
Maintain organized and confidential financial and payroll records
Identify discrepancies, cash-flow concerns, unusual transactions, or budget issues and communicate them promptly to the Executive Director

Qualifications

Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, finance, or a related field
Experience processing payroll
Experience with QuickBooks Online strongly preferred
Experience with account reconciliation and financial reporting
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to maintain confidential financial and employee information
Strong organizational and follow-through skills
Ability to work independently and manage recurring deadlines
Nonprofit accounting experience preferred but not required
Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field preferred; relevant professional experience will also be considered
