Kitchen Manager

Local on the Water – Little River, SC

Join One of the Grand Strand’s Premier Waterfront Restaurants

Local on the Water is a high-volume waterfront restaurant and entertainment venue known for exceptional food, live music, and an energetic atmosphere. We serve hundreds of guests daily and transform into one of the area’s busiest nightlife destinations with live bands throughout the week and every weekend.

We’re looking for a hands-on Kitchen Manager who thrives under pressure, leads by example, and takes pride in building a highly organized, efficient kitchen operation.

Position Overview

The Kitchen Manager is responsible for leading the daily kitchen operation while maintaining exceptional food quality, controlling costs, developing staff, and ensuring every guest receives an outstanding dining experience.

This is not a desk job. We are looking for someone who is visible, engaged, and willing to jump into any position necessary to help the team succeed.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of Kitchen Management experience in a high-volume restaurant
Experience managing a kitchen with $2–3 million or more in annual food sales
Proven leadership with a history of building and retaining strong kitchen teams
Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and health department standards
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Work outside expo position to oversee the entire kitchen
Monitor ticket flow and kitchen communication
Step onto the line during high-volume periods or crisis situations
Keep the kitchen organized and focused
Ensure quality and consistency never suffer, even during peak business
