Spa Operations Manager and Esthetics Manager

Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa — Murrells Inlet, SC

Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa is seeking an experienced, sales-focused Esthetics Manager of Operations to lead membership growth and daily operations at our Murrells Inlet spa while overseeing esthetics standards and esthetician performance across three spa locations.

This position is based at the Murrells Inlet location. The primary goal is to drive membership sales, retention, service quality, and operational performance at Murrells Inlet while providing leadership, coaching, and support to estheticians at all three assigned locations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily operations at the Murrells Inlet spa, with a strong focus on membership sales, upgrades, retention, reactivation, retail performance, and guest satisfaction.
Develop and execute sales strategies to improve membership conversion, recurring-membership revenue, lead follow-up, and overall spa profitability.
Coach and hold the Murrells Inlet front-desk and sales team accountable for membership presentations, booking goals, lead conversion, follow-up, and exceptional guest service.
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly membership and sales metrics; identify performance gaps and implement action plans.
Manage, coach, support, and hold accountable estheticians across all three assigned Hand & Stone locations.
Assist with esthetician recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, retention, and professional development across the three spas.
Maintain consistent facial-service quality standards, treatment-room readiness, sanitation, documentation, guest experience, and compliance with Hand & Stone policies and applicable South Carolina regulations at all assigned locations.
Ensure estheticians consistently follow approved service protocols, product recommendations, retail consultation standards, and client care expectations.
Support estheticians in increasing retail sales, enhancing client rebooking, improving service upgrades, and building long-term guest relationships.
Address esthetician performance concerns, attendance issues, service-quality opportunities, guest feedback, scheduling needs, and service-recovery matters promptly and professionally.
Partner with Regional managers and ownership at each location to ensure esthetician staffing, provider utilization, schedules, and performance support guest demand and business goals.
Conduct regular visits to additional spa locations as needed to provide esthetics leadership, performance coaching, training, and operational support related to facial and skincare services.
Provide regular updates to ownership regarding Murrells Inlet membership and operational results, as well as esthetician staffing, performance, retention, retail results, and guest concerns across all three locations.
Foster a positive, accountable, professional, and team-oriented culture throughout the Murrells Inlet spa and esthetics teams at all assigned locations.

Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of professional esthetics experience required.
Active South Carolina esthetician license in good standing, or ability to obtain and maintain required licensure.
Prior leadership, management, training, lead-esthetician, educator, or multi-location esthetics-supervision experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to drive membership sales, recurring revenue, client retention, conversion performance, retail sales, and guest loyalty.
Strong knowledge of facial-service standards, skincare consultation, product recommendations, retail sales, provider scheduling, guest experience, treatment-room operations, and esthetician coaching.
Comfortable managing daily operations at one location while overseeing esthetics staff across multiple locations.
Excellent communication, leadership, conflict-resolution, coaching, and organizational skills.
Ability to analyze sales and operational reports and turn results into clear action plans.
Proficiency with scheduling, point-of-sale, CRM, and spa-management systems; Zenoti experience is a plus.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays as business needs require.
