Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. As a Sushi Chef, you will play a key part in delivering an exceptional dining experience that delights our guests and showcases your mastery of Japanese cuisine. This position offers an exciting opportunity to bring creativity and precision together in a fast-paced, energetic environment dedicated to culinary excellence.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistry.
Maintain the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in all food preparation areas.
Develop innovative sushi recipes and presentation techniques to enhance menu offerings.
Manage ingredient inventory, ensuring freshness and proper storage of seafood, rice, vegetables, and other supplies.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service delivery.
Educate and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi techniques, knife skills, and presentation standards.
Adhere to all health regulations and safety protocols while maintaining a lively, energetic work environment.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen setting.
Extensive knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices.
Excellent knife skills and familiarity with Japanese culinary tools.
Creative mindset with the ability to develop new recipes and improve existing ones.
Passion for Japanese cuisine and dedication to delivering an exceptional guest experience.
