Full Job Description

Position Overview:

The Welder is responsible for fabricating, repairing, and assembling metal components used throughout winery operations and facilities. This hands-on position works from drawings, measurements, and project specifications to prepare materials, complete quality welds, and ensure finished work meets safety, durability, and appearance standards. The Welder operates a variety of welding and fabrication equipment, performs installation and repairs as needed, and works collaboratively with the maintenance and operations teams to support ongoing facility and equipment needs. The ideal candidate is skilled, dependable, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while managing multiple projects and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Welding & Fabrication – Weld, fabricate, and repair metal components according to drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
Measure, Cut & Prepare Materials – Measure, mark, cut, drill, grind, and clean metal materials to ensure accurate fit and proper preparation.
Weld Quality & Finishing – Inspect welds for quality and defects; grind, clean, and finish welds as needed to meet appearance and quality standards.
Equipment Operation & Maintenance – Safely operate, maintain, and report issues with welding and fabrication equipment and tools.
Installation – Install and assemble fabricated metal components as required.
Safety & Work Area – Follow all safety procedures, use required PPE, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Teamwork & Other Duties – Work effectively with team members and perform other related welding, fabrication, maintenance, and repair duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, construction, or industrial environment.
Working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of welding and metal fabrication techniques.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to walk, stand, climb ladders, crouch, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.
Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to heat, dust, noise, and outdoor job sites as needed.
Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, drills, and other fabrication equipment.

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
