ABOUT QUAIL CREEK COUNTRY CLUB
Quail Creek Country Club is a Distinguished Club with Exceptional Status. We are a full-service, member-owned Club that was one of the first established in Naples. Quail Creek was founded in 1980, today the Club is over 750 members strong with two 18-hole Arthur Hills designed golf courses, 9 tennis courts, 6 led-lit pickleball courts, 3 bocce courts, 5,000 sq ft fitness center, spa & locker rooms, steam rooms, salt pool, hot tub, integrated pro shop, dining, member events.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
Throughout the 59,000 sq. foot clubhouse, not including the new Sports Center & Spa or new 4,200 sq. ft kitchen completed in winter of 2019, the club hosts various types of dining options. The Greenside Grille is our casual restaurant offering a large variety of seafood, steaks, salads and special features. Upstairs, in the Cypress Room which is the largest venue for dining, the club hosts golf, tennis, and member events along with themed upscale dining and wine dinners as well. in addition to our two main dining areas, we have the Oak Room, the Quail Room, and the Wine Room and the Creekside Cafe. Throughout the year Quail Creek Country Club hosts several large golf events.
Food and Beverage gross operation revenue exceeds $3.4 million annually. The club is seasonal however it is open year-round. October through April, lunch is served seven days a week and dinner six nights a week. May through September lunch is served six days a week and dinner three nights a week.
Quail Creek Country Club seeks a passionate and experienced full-time EXPEDITOR
The qualified candidate will be versatile to work a variety of food production areas. We are an EOE and Drug-Free workplace. All candidates must complete and pass a background check and drug screen.
JOB SUMMARY: An expeditor at Quail Creek Country Club acts as the liaison between the front-of-house [service staff] and the back-of-house [kitchen chefs/cooks], ensuring that food orders are prepared, plated, and delivered accurately and efficiently in a high-paced, member-focused environment. They are responsible for final quality control, ensuring dishes meet club standards, managing special dietary requests, and maintaining a steady flow of service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES + DUTIES:
- Order Management: Read, organize, and prioritize tickets to ensure all items for the table are ready simultaneously.
- Quality Control: Inspect plates for proper, attractive garnishing and portioning before they leave the kitchen.
- Communication Hub: Act as the primary communicator between chefs, cooks, and servers, relaying special orders, dietary restrictions, and kitchen shortages.
- Final Touches: Garnish food items per menu specifications and chef instructions.
- Workflow Coordination: Ensure that you and our servers run food to the table while it is hot and properly prepared.
- Station Maintenance: Keep the expediting area [the "window"] clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary tools, plates, and garnishes.
- Member Service: Adhere to high-standard service protocols, often including recognizing members by name and accommodating last-minute requests.
REQUIRED SKILLS + QUILAIFICATIONS:
- Experience: Previous experience in a country club, resort, or restaurant setting is required [1+ years].
- Education: High School Diploma or General Education [GED] a minimum.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills to manage fast-paced interactions between staff.
- Multitasking: Ability to work calmly under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of food safety regulations [often requiring a Food Handler's Card].
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous focus on order accuracy and plate presentation.
PHYSICAL + ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, frequently bending, reaching, and lifting.
- Lifting: Capable of lifting or moving items, sometimes up to 50-100 pounds occasionally.
- Environment: Working in a hot, fast-paced, and noisy kitchen environment.
- Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, which are peak hours for Quail Creek Country Club.
KEY DIFFERENCES IN A PRIVATE COUNTRY CLUB:
Unlike casual dining, an expeditor in a private country club often works in a "member-focused" atmosphere that prioritized service. They may be required to work across various dining venues within the club, from casual poolside cafes, to fine dining rooms, and must adhere to strict, high-end, or resort-style standards of operation.
· Assists Server Assistants in the dining room with clearing soiled dishes, filling waters and setting the dining room, when needed.
