Full Job Description

Executive Director - Independent/Assisted Living/Memory Care Community

Position Summary:

In charge of all operations at the community, responsible for giving the proper strategic direction and implementing a high-quality vision, while interacting with staff and residental on a daily basis. Must have ability to lead and motivate. Must have great communication skills and take a holistic approach in managing the community’s operations. The goal is to manage and lead the community towards the realization of its mission. The ideal candidate has a lot of energy and a passion for serving residents.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies aiming to promote the organization’s mission.
Create complete business plans for the attainment of copmmunity goals and objectives.
Work directly with sales and marketing to achieve and maintain optimal occupancy.
Manage budgets and look for methods of cost savings.
Collaborate with an effective team of Department Directors by providing guidance and coaching, with accountibility.
Ensure adherence to company policy as well as state and federal regulations.
Forge and maintain relations of trust with regional and corporate management.
Serve as the public speaker and public relations representative of the community.
Review weekly/monthly reports by subordinate managers to acquire understanding of the community’s financial and non-financial position.
Devise remedial actions for any identified issues and conduct crisis management when necessary.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, with emphasis in Business Administration, Personnel Administration, Genealogy to related fields with service to the elderly or have two years of college and at least three years’ experience providing residential care to the elderly; or equivalent education and experience as approved by the licensing agency.
Proven experience as an Executive Director in am Assisted Living and/or Memory Care Community.
Must come with a strong financial acumen and be able to drill-down to individual line item expenses to manage budget closely.
Experience in developing strategies and plans, including creativity and the ability to see visualize the big picture.
Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance.
Must have an analytical mind capable for “out-of-the-box” thinking to solve problems.
Must have outstanding organization and leadership abilities.
Excellent communication (oral and written) and public speaking skills.
Current Florida Assisted Living Director certification.
Strong Community Sales acumen.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
