Qualified Professional (QP) – I/DD Services

Location: Brunswick County, NC (In-office start with Hybrid/WFH potential)

Job Type: Full-time

About the Role

Are you a dedicated human services professional looking to grow with a fast-paced agency? Due to rapid growth and expansion within our agency, we are seeking a Qualified Professional (QP) to oversee individuals in Brunswick County. This is a critical leadership role responsible for the clinical oversight, coordination, and quality of services provided to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD).

This position begins as an in-office role to ensure a smooth transition and team integration. Once the probationary period is successfully completed, there is significant potential for a flexible work-from-home (WFH) schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Case Management: Develop, implement, and monitor Person-Centered Plans (PCPs) and ensure all service goals align with individual needs.
Compliance: Maintain documentation in strict accordance with NC DHHS, Medicaid, and 1915(i) standards.
Staff Supervision: Provide high-quality clinical supervision to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), including monthly supervisions and performance evaluations.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular chart audits and site visits to ensure health, safety, and regulatory readiness.
Advocacy: Act as the primary liaison between the agency, families, guardians, and MCO Care Coordinators.

What We’re Looking For

Education: A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Human Services field (Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, etc.).
Experience: Must meet North Carolina "Qualified Professional" status per 10A NCAC 27G .0104.
Master’s Degree + 1 year of post-grad I/DD experience.
Bachelor’s Degree (Human Services) + 2 years of post-grad I/DD experience.
Bachelor’s Degree (Other) + 4 years of post-grad I/DD experience.
Preferred: Previous experience as a QP and or AFL or residential setting is a major plus, but will train the right candidate.
Skills: Strong organizational skills, clinical writing proficiency, and a commitment to person-centered care.

This position may require physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, or pulling. Are you able to safely lift and carry up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 100 pounds occasionally, without assistance?
Please describe the populations you have supported in your previous roles as a Qualified Professional (QP) or Direct Support Professional (DSP). Include any experience with specific age groups, diagnoses, or support needs.
Are you comfortable assisting individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) after receiving training? These tasks may include but are not limited to: Personal Care, Mobility Support, Meal Preparation & Feeding, Toileting & Continence Care, and/or Household Tasks. Would you be comfortable performing these essential duties as part of your role?
