Location: Omaha, NE
Department: Recruiting
Job Type: Full-Time, non-exempt
Schedule: Monday – Friday, generally standard business hours
Travel: 5–10%

About the Role

At Hill Bros, our drivers are the backbone of everything we do — and the Recruiting & Retention Coordinator plays a critical role in making sure we're bringing in the right people and keeping them. This position supports the full driver lifecycle from first contact to long-term engagement, working alongside Operations, Safety, Maintenance, Payroll, and HR to create a driver experience that reflects our values.

What You'll Do

Recruiting Support — Coordinate driver recruiting pipelines, process qualification files, conduct interviews, and serve as backup recruiter as needed
Onboarding & Qualification — Facilitate the first day of driver qualification class, manage DOT compliance documentation, and request employment verification for the previous 7-year history
Driver Retention — Foster early driver relationships, conduct surveys and follow-up calls, serve as a liaison between drivers and leadership, and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve driver concerns
Reporting & Data — Produce MVR, turnover, and productivity reports; track and analyze key retention and recruiting metrics; ensure accurate and timely data entry into Safety Department systems

Requirements:

What We're Looking For

Minimum 1 year of experience in transportation recruiting, driver management, HR, safety, or operations
Strong understanding of CDL driver recruiting and retention practices preferred
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational habits
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with applicant tracking systems a plus
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
