Develop and communicate the engineering vision, strategy and goals aligned with the company’s overall objectives

Provide strategic direction for product development, technology adoption, and process improvements.

Identify emerging trends and technologies to maintain competitiveness and drive innovation

Lead, mentor, and inspire the engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning

Set clear expectations, define roles and responsibilities, and empower team members to achieve their full potential

Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects within scope, schedule, and budget constraints

Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes

Foster cross-functional collaboration between engineering, operations, quality assurance, and other departments to drive project success

Provide technical guidance and expertise to resolve complex engineering challenges and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

Promote best practices, design principles, and quality standards to enhance product reliability, safety, and performance.

Collaborate with external partners, supplies, and customers to understand requirements, address concerns, and foster mutually beneficial partnerships

Represent the engineering department in meetings, presentations, and industry events to promote the company’s technical capabilities and achievements

Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, quality standards, and industry best practices in all engineering activities

Implement robust risk management processes to identify, assess, and mitigate potential hazards, vulnerabilities, and liabilities.

Champion a culture of safety, ethics, and integrity throughout the organization, emphasizing the importance of responsible engineering practices

Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in engineering leadership roles within the aerospace industry, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget

In-depth knowledge of aerospace systems, technologies, and regulatory requirements, with expertise in areas such as landing gear and engine components

Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, build consensus, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to translate technical insights into actionable plans, revenue opportunities, and competitive advantages.

Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail, with a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Familiarity with project management methodologies and engineering tools and software used in aerospace design and analysis.
