Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations. This vital role combines hands-on food preparation with strategic management, ensuring exceptional food quality, safety, and service standards. As a key leader in our hospitality environment, you will drive team performance, manage inventory, and uphold the highest levels of food safety and sanitation. Your energetic leadership will inspire your team to deliver memorable dining experiences while maintaining operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
Lead and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment through effective training, mentorship, and performance management.
Oversee menu planning and development, incorporating dietary considerations and fine dining standards to delight guests.
Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste through efficient food management practices.
Enforce strict food safety sanitizing procedures and hygiene standards across all kitchen areas to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Oversee catering operations and banquet services, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality dishes for events.
Monitor shift operations, including labor costs, cost control measures, and maintaining smooth workflow during busy periods.
Collaborate with the restaurant management team to optimize food service processes and enhance overall guest satisfaction.

Experience

Proven supervisory experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting with a focus on fine dining or catering environments.
Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food production, food handling, and cooking techniques.
Demonstrated success in managing kitchen operations including inventory management, cost control, and food safety protocols.
Experience in banquet service, catering events, or large-scale food service operations is highly desirable.
Background in managing teams as a chef or kitchen manager with strong leadership capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with dietary department procedures and accommodating special dietary needs.
Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and compliance standards within the food industry.
