Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiac CT Technologist to join our dynamic medical imaging team. In this vital role, you will perform advanced cardiac computed tomography (CT) scans to assist in diagnosing and managing cardiovascular conditions. Your expertise will contribute to high-quality patient care, ensuring accurate imaging results while adhering to strict radiation safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity for professionals passionate about radiology, medical imaging, and patient-centered care to make a meaningful impact within a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Operate state-of-the-art cardiac CT imaging equipment to produce detailed images of the heart and coronary arteries for diagnostic evaluation.
Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, ensuring proper positioning, and applying contrast agents when necessary.
Implement radiation safety procedures diligently to protect patients, staff, and yourself during all imaging procedures.
Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to optimize imaging protocols tailored to each patient's specific needs.
Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient information, and technical parameters in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Monitor patient condition throughout the procedure, providing compassionate care and addressing any concerns or discomfort promptly.
Assist with other radiologic imaging tasks such as nuclear medicine scans (including PET scans) is a plus.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating radiologic imaging equipment with a focus on CT technology, particularly Cardiac CT scans.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to cardiac imaging and emergency medicine settings.
Familiarity with interventional radiography techniques and aseptic procedures for invasive procedures.
Certification or licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent), with additional certifications in sonography or nuclear medicine preferred.
Knowledge of radiation safety procedures and implementing radiation protection measures during all imaging processes.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced environments such as emergency rooms or trauma centers.
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations.
