Operations & Business Manager — Event RentalsStyled & Staged

Location: Dunellen, New Jersey
Position: Part-Time with Growth Opportunity
Starting Pay: $18.00–$23.00 per hour, based on experience

About Styled & Staged

Styled & Staged is an event rental and event-services business located in Dunellen, New Jersey.

We are preparing for our next stage of growth and are looking for a motivated, highly organized Operations & Business Manager who can help take ownership of the day-to-day business and turn opportunities into bookings.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys events, rentals, customer service, sales, marketing, organization, and business growth.

We are looking for someone who doesn't simply want to “work at an event-rental company.”

We want someone who wants to help build one.

The Role

The Operations & Business Manager will work closely with the Owner/Creative Director but will be expected to increasingly take responsibility for the everyday operation of Styled & Staged.

The Owner will continue to oversee:

Overall company vision
Creative direction
Major purchases
Pricing strategy
Major client relationships
Major partnerships
High-level event design
Business expansion

The Operations & Business Manager will focus on making sure the company is organized, responsive, visible, booking customers, and operating consistently.

ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Sales

Respond to rental inquiries.
Return customer calls.
Respond to emails and messages.
Schedule showroom appointments.
Assist customers with rental selections.
Send approved rental pricing/information.
Create rental orders.
Follow up on quotes.
Follow up with leads consistently.
Track potential customers from inquiry through booking.
Maintain strong customer communication.
Help convert inquiries into paid rentals.

Business Development

This position is expected to help generate business, not simply wait for customers to call.

Responsibilities may include:

Reach out to event planners.
Build relationships with venues.
Connect with decorators and caterers.
Reach out to schools, churches, organizations, and businesses.
Identify corporate and community rental opportunities.
Develop referral relationships.
Follow up with previous customers.
Assist with creating seasonal packages and promotions.
Identify new ways to generate rental revenue.

Booqable & Online Rental Management

Add and maintain products.
Upload photos.
Maintain product descriptions.
Organize collections.
Maintain approved pricing.
Update availability.
Keep listings accurate.
Maintain booking information.
Help make the customer booking process easy and professional.

Inventory

Learn all Styled & Staged inventory.
Maintain accurate inventory counts.
Organize inventory.
Label products.
Track availability.
Check inventory before and after rentals.
Identify damage or missing products.
Track cleaning/repair needs.
Ensure returned inventory is properly stored.
Prepare rental orders for customers.

Showroom

Maintain a clean, organized, professional showroom.
Prepare for customer appointments.
Assist customers during appointments.
Manage scheduled pickups and returns.
Maintain attractive product displays.
Identify showroom or inventory needs.

Marketing & Social Media

Help maintain consistent social-media activity.
Promote available inventory.
Share event/rental content.
Help create basic promotional content.
Use or learn Canva.
Promote packages and seasonal offers.
Respond to social-media inquiries.
Help collect photos/videos/content.
Support marketing campaigns designed to generate bookings.

Rental Operations

Help manage each reservation through:

Inquiry → Quote → Contract → Payment/Deposit → Reservation → Preparation → Pickup/Delivery → Return → Inspection → Completion

The goal is for nothing to fall through the cracks.

Schedule

This position will begin part-time.

We are looking for someone with consistent availability who can spend time physically at the Dunellen showroom while also completing appropriate administrative, customer-service, marketing, and follow-up responsibilities remotely.

Some evening or weekend availability may occasionally be needed based on rentals, customer appointments, or events.

The final schedule will be discussed based on the candidate's availability and the needs of the business.

Compensation & Growth

Starting range: $22.00–$25.00 per hour based on experience.

The role will initially be part-time while Styled & Staged continues growing its booking volume.

There is significant opportunity for increased responsibility and hours as business revenue grows.

We are particularly interested in someone who would like the opportunity to grow into a larger leadership role with the company.
