Job Overview
Our company has become the preeminent full-service construction services provider for the five boroughs of New York. Since 2003, we have been providing high quality Plumbing, Sprinkler, Electrical, Fire alarm, and HVAC services to New York City's finest buildings.

We are looking for a dedicated Construction Assistant to the Project Manager to support the successful execution of construction projects. The ideal candidate will assist in coordinating tasks, managing schedules, and ensuring project milestones are met efficiently. This role requires excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills to provide critical support to the Project Manager and the construction team.

Location: New York, NY

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000 to $65,000/year

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and overseeing construction projects.
Maintain project schedules, documentation, and records to ensure efficient operations.
Communicate with contractors, vendors, and team members to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Track project progress and prepare reports for the Project Manager and stakeholders.
Help manage budgets, invoices, and cost tracking to maintain financial accuracy.
Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Coordinate and schedule meetings, inspections, and permits.
Assist in resolving project-related issues and ensuring work aligns with quality standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Prior experience in construction or project coordination is preferred.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore).
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
