Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm

Payment Processing Clerk Opportunity

We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals to join a growing financial operations team as a Payment Processing Clerk. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for recent graduates or individuals looking to begin a long-term career in financial operations. No prior lockbox processing experience is required—we provide comprehensive on-site training.

As a Payment Processing Clerk, you'll work in a fast-paced production environment processing incoming payments with a strong focus on speed, accuracy, and quality. During your contract assignment, you'll receive cross-training in multiple departments to build a well-rounded understanding of the operation and prepare for long-term growth opportunities.

Payment Processing Clerk Responsibilities

Sort, open, organize, and process incoming mail containing customer payments.
Prepare documents for scanning using high-speed imaging equipment.
Perform basic data entry, including accurately keying payment amounts and required information.
Verify payment information for completeness and accuracy.
Package and prepare processed remittance for client or bank delivery.
Maintain production, quality, and accuracy standards throughout each shift.
Follow written procedures and client processing guidelines.
Cross-train in multiple functions within the department as business needs require.
Assist with additional operational duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
Recent graduates interested in financial operations are welcome.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to perform basic data entry and 10-key functions.
Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Basic math skills.
Reliable attendance and willingness to learn multiple job functions.

Following training, employees are expected to maintain production goals of approximately 600-800 envelopes processed per hour.
