Full Job Description

Fabietti, Hale, Hammerstedt & Powers, PA (FHHP) is a professional, full-service, trusted business advisory and accounting firm serving clients in Southern Jersey and the Philadelphia area with a concentration in Atlantic, Cape May and Cumberland Counties. The firm has office locations in Egg Harbor Township and Cape May Court House, NJ.

The firm utilizes state-of-the-art accounting practices, superior technology and a roll-up-the-sleeves approach by entrenching personnel within our clients’ business. The FHHP team of specialists employs a unique two-prong (“tag team”) approach that includes (1) addressing day-to-day activity, operating on a monthly or quarterly basis; and (2) addressing overall strategic planning.

Primary Role: Performs routine detailed accounting and tax services, usually under the direction of a senior or manager and occasionally a partner for smaller engagements.

Key Accountabilities:

Exercise good judgment and respect the policies and procedures of the Firm.
Develops basic technical knowledge. Heavy emphasis on learning on the job as the person works on one job after another.
Consults with senior engagement personnel when problems of confusion arise.
Learns how to interact with clients properly.
Begins to participate in the Firm’s marketing efforts by taking part in networking activities.
Typical engagement activities: Perform basic accounting steps in areas such as cash, receivables, payables, simple 1040, 1120 & 1065 tax returns.
Individual, Business, Estate and Trust Tax preparation
Multi-State Income Tax Preparation
Sales tax return preparation
Ability to conduct tax research and form meaningful conclusions for specific projects
Respond to tax notices
Ability and willingness to travel to client sites

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, MBA or Master’s degree Preferred

0-3 years

Microsoft Office proficiency including Word and Excel
CCH ProSystem Engagement proficiency
ACS proficiency

Valid Driver's License Required
