Branch Manager – Electrical Distribution

Poughkeepsie, NY

CCRS is a recruiting firm assisting one of the nation's premier electrical distribution organizations in the search for an experienced Branch Manager for its Poughkeepsie, NY location.

This position is ideal for a proven Branch Manager or an experienced Assistant Branch Manager, Operations Manager, or Sales Leader who is ready to lead a successful branch while continuing to grow professionally.

Responsibilities

Lead the day-to-day operations of a busy electrical distribution branch.
Develop, coach, and mentor a high-performing team across sales, warehouse, and operations.
Drive branch profitability through sales growth, customer retention, and operational efficiency.
Build and strengthen relationships with electrical contractors, industrial customers, and commercial accounts.
Partner with inside and outside sales teams to identify growth opportunities and expand market share.
Monitor inventory, purchasing, safety, and operational performance to ensure exceptional customer service.
Establish performance expectations, develop talent, and foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture.
Analyze financial and operational metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience within the electrical distribution industry.
Proven experience managing branch operations, sales, or both.
Strong knowledge of electrical products, contractor relationships, and wholesale distribution.
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop successful teams.
Experience managing branch profitability, budgets, and operational performance.
Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
Customer-focused with a passion for building lasting relationships.
Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
