Full Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A healthcare organization operating 340B pharmacies is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to provide interim leadership in New York, NY, and California. This contract role is ideal for a licensed pharmacist with multiple state licenses who can step in promptly when a PIC position becomes vacant due to resignation.

Location:

Onsite in New York, NY or California (location depends on emergency need)

Duration:

3 to 6 months

Schedule:

Day and afternoon shifts

Responsibilities:

Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge, overseeing pharmacy operations in compliance with regulatory requirements
Manage staff, workflow, and ensure accurate dispensing of medications
Maintain standards of safety and quality for pharmacy services
Collaborate with healthcare providers and ensure proper documentation and reporting
Support the 340B drug pricing program administration and compliance

Desired Qualifications:

Active pharmacist licenses in multiple states from the following list: AK, AL, AR, CA, IA, ID, IL, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MS, NE, NV, OK, OR, TN, TX, VA, and WV (candidates with the greatest number of these licenses preferred)
Previous experience as Pharmacist in Charge or in a supervisory pharmacy role
Familiarity with 340B program requirements and pharmacy regulatory compliance
Strong leadership and communication skills
Willingness and flexibility to work onsite in either New York or California as required

Benefits & Perks:

Negotiable hourly pay rate within the range of $65-$70 per hour
Travel costs covered for non-local candidates
