For more than 40 years, Center for Cognition and Communication (CCC) has been a trusted leader in neuropsychological evaluation, cognitive rehabilitation, and specialized mental health services for individuals recovering from concussion, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and other neurological conditions.

Today, CCC serves patients throughout the New York metropolitan area with locations in Manhattan, Queens, and a new Bronx office opening soon. Our Manhattan office is conveniently located adjacent to Weill Cornell Medical Center, allowing us to collaborate within one of the nation's premier healthcare communities.

Our multidisciplinary team includes clinical neuropsychologists, psychologists, postdoctoral fellows, psychometricians, therapy assistants, and trainees who work collaboratively to deliver exceptional patient care. Who Are You?

Title: Psychometric Assistant

The ideal Psychometric Assistant should be someone in the medical field and interested in Neuropsychology. The candidate should be energetic, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and compassionate individual. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with providers and patients and to garner clinical training/experience in neuropsychological testing and cognitive remediation under the close supervision/guidance of our providers.

Must have excellent communication skills, be a team player, and be prepared to work with patients with PCS/TBI. Training will be provided, although some related experience is preferable.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Help administer and score batteries/tests during neuropsychological evaluation
Administer computerized/manual cognitive remediation programs to patients
Assist supervising psychologist/neuropsychologist during group behavior intervention sessions
Transcribe computer assessment plans based on patients’ progress
Transcribe and write-up functional assessments
Transcribe neuropsychological reports, using data from psychological and neuropsychological tests and rating scales as directed by the providers
Performs other related duties as required

Full-time position:

Mon-Fri 9am-5pm.
Flexibility for late shifts and occasional Saturday availability (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) is preferred

Education/Job Qualifications:

Master's or Higher in Clinical Psychology or related field
Two+ years of related experience in the field of public health or community program development is required
Assessment experience is a plus

Language:

Bilingual (Required)
Spanish (Required)

Location

This position is based primarily in our Manhattan office. As part of our collaborative, multi-site team, employees should expect to provide regular support and coverage across our Manhattan, Queens, and soon-to-open Bronx locations as needed. Candidates must be comfortable traveling between offices and working at any of our locations based on patient and operational needs.

Salary Information:

The estimated base wage range for this position is $22 to $28 hourly at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is non-exempt.
