Full Job Description

Premier MEP/FP consulting engineering firm located in midtown Manhattan has been partnering with select developers, architects, institutions and municipal agencies to provide exceptional building design and application services.

Currently we offer excellent career opportunities for Mid or Senior Level Electrical and Fire Alarm Engineers with extensive experience working with local building codes.

You will be expected to design entire Electrical and Fire Alarm systems that conform to the appropriate building codes and standards. Applicant should be proficient at independently sizing and selecting equipment. Sr. Engineer will direct and train junior engineers and drafters as well as lead and provide intelligent building systems for a variety of project types simultaneously with varying sizes and levels of complexity. You will be expected to coordinate with larger teams and effectively manage project scopes, budget and scheduling/deadlines.

Job Requirements:

A BS in Engineering and 4+ years of experience in electrical engineering design.
PE preferred. LEED Accreditation and CAD/Revit experience preferred. Experience in New York City preferred.
Ability to independently design electrical and fire protection systems, direct and train junior staff.
Ability to answer RFI’s and Submittals in a timely fashion.
Ability to provide significant strategic and technical leadership and proven track record of team building and executive leadership.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to professionally represent our firm to clients and agencies at meetings and through written correspondence is essential.
Extensive experience in respective trade (Electrical and Fire Alarm) design and/or numerous disciplines for small, medium and large scale projects in a variety of sectors. Project experience should include active participation for the concept design phase through construction.
