Full Job Description

Tasks for this position include supporting the firm's partners in:

Initiating work on new 9/11 compensation claims.
Gathering, reviewing, and analyzing information relevant to VCF claims.
Investigating the facts and circumstances of each client's claim.
Working directly with clients, family members, witnesses, medical providers, employers, unions, and other third parties.
Preparing documents and correspondence necessary to enroll clients in the World Trade Center Health Program.
Assisting with the preparation and submission of claims to the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund.
Maintaining accurate electronic records and documenting case activity.
Following internal workflows, deadlines, and case management procedures.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following strengths:

Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated empathy when working with clients.
Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
Must have excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese), written and verbal, is required for this role.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff.
Proficiency with office suites.

Location & Work Environment

Primarily remote position, with periodic in-office work as needed.
Candidates must reside in New York or New Jersey.
Headquarters located in an amenity-rich office in the Financial District, just blocks from the World Trade Center.
