Job Description
The Line Cook’s primary responsibility is to cook in our kitchen, following our Executive Chef’s specifications and guidelines ensuring total guest satisfaction. This is achieved by:

Being able to read and follow recipes, follow directions and lists outlined by a chef
Understanding and following the proper DOH food safety policies
Being punctual and paying attention to detail
Maintaining a positive and professional attitude with coworkers
Working in a fast-paced and stressful environment without losing composure
Having the ability to stand while working for long periods of time
Performing other duties as directed

Required experience

Experience in a high-volume restaurant (1+ years Manhattan experience)
Understanding of various cooking methods and cuisines
Maintain high-quality standards, clean work habits with a great attention to detail
Must have excellent verbal communication skills
Familiar with industry’s best practices, equipment, and procedures
Ability to meet physical and scheduling demands of the position, including, walking, standing, or lifting heavy items for extended periods and open availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
