Full Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and personable Catering Sales Manager to build out our catering division. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on building relationships, loves food, and excels at turning client visions into delicious realities. You'll be responsible for growing our catering business, managing client relationships from initial inquiry through event execution, and ensuring every catered event exceeds expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Drive catering sales through proactive outreach, networking, and relationship building with corporate clients, administrative assistants, event planners, and individuals
Conduct consultations with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget, then create customized catering proposals
Coordinate with Chef on food tastings and custom menu items
Work with Chef to prepare accurate quotes and contracts, and manage the sales pipeline
Coordinate with kitchen team to ensure orders are executed on times and to our standards
Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts to pursue both repeat and new business opportunities
Represent the company at tastings, industry events, and networking functions
Track sales metrics, analyze performance data, and provide weekly reports to management
Ensure exceptional customer service throughout the entire catering experience, addressing any concerns promptly and professionally

Qualifications

Proven experience in catering sales, event marketing, or hospitality sales roles within restaurants, hotels, or banquet facilities
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining positive client relationships
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with a diverse client base
Strong relationships and existing client book in the Morristown area and surrounding towns
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software
Knowledge of food safety and dietary considerations (allergies, dietary restrictions)
Flexible schedule, including availability for occasional evenings and weekends
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
