Construction Helper
SEIN ME LLC is looking for a reliable, motivated Construction Helper to assist with custom media walls, TV mounting, accent walls, acoustic panels, floating cabinets, LED lighting, and other residential installation projects.
This is a hands-on, part-time position for someone who enjoys building, wants to learn new skills, and takes pride in clean work. You do not need to be a master carpenter. We are willing to train the right person, but you must be dependable, comfortable working with tools, and willing to follow instructions.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, organize, and protect tools and materials Prepare residential job sites and protect customers’ floors and furniture Assist with measuring, marking, framing, cutting, drilling, fastening, sanding, patching, painting, and cleanup Help install TVs, floating cabinets, shelves, acoustic panels, LED lighting, and media-wall components Hold, lift, and position materials while installations are completed Make occasional material pickups and supply runs Keep tools, work areas, and company vehicles clean and organized Follow safety procedures and SEIN ME installation standards Communicate respectfully around customers and inside their homes Complete other installation-related tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Reliable transportation to Newark and assigned job locations Valid driver’s license preferred Dependable, punctual, and able to communicate when issues arise Comfortable using basic hand tools and power tools Able to follow measurements, instructions, and job-site rules Able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds with assistance when needed Comfortable working on ladders and being on your feet for extended periods Willing to travel throughout New Jersey and occasionally New York Must maintain a professional appearance and respectful attitude in customers’ homes Must take care of company tools, materials, and customer property Personal phone required for scheduling and job communication
Construction, carpentry, drywall, painting, electrical-helper, TV-mounting, or installation experience is helpful, but not required.
Schedule
This is a part-time position with hours based on scheduled projects. Workdays and start times may vary. Some projects may begin early in the morning and last a full workday. Candidates should have flexible weekday availability.
Pay and Growth
Pay is $20 to $24 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated ability.
Paid on-the-job training is provided. Performance-based raises and additional responsibilities are available for employees who show reliability, improvement, attention to detail, and the ability to complete tasks with less supervision.
There is an opportunity to grow into an Installer or Lead Installer role as the company expands.
