Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Human Resources Generalist to join our team and drive our HR initiatives forward. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a key partner in managing human capital strategies, fostering employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. Your energetic approach will help shape a positive workplace culture, streamline HR processes, and support organizational growth through effective talent management and workforce planning. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our company’s success while advancing your career in human resources.

Responsibilities

Presents a positive image of Integris in attitude, communications, and appearance while demonstrating a professional, positive, cooperative, team-oriented working relationship with others.
Serves as an HR point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, benefits, and performance and attendance issues (FMLA, ADA, etc.). Ability to work in partnership with the Director of HR for more complex matters.
Participates in the recruiting process including job postings, ads, creating interview questions, accepting/screening applications, counseling managers on candidate selection, conducting and analyzing exit interviews, etc. Primary focus in recruiting for this position will be across production departments.
Uses official company communication channels (e.g., work email, HRIS, company phone) for all HR-related communications and ensure all communications are consistent, professional, and confidential.
Maintains professional boundaries with all employees, ensuring interactions remain work-focused and appropriate.
Participates in the development and maintenance of a system-wide onboarding plan that involves the orientation, development, and training of new hires as well as established employees upon promotion.
Provides oversight and management of the full employee lifecycle: recruiting, onboarding, development, performance, and separation and ensuring accuracy and proper use of PII.
Participates in open enrollment negotiations with the HR department and maintains an awareness of benefit offerings, enrollment processes, and employee assistance programs to best answer employee inquiries and review with new hires.
Manage 401K: Adding new hires, maintaining records, uploading contributions, annual 401k audit.
Assists with Deferred Comp: Maintaining records, planning training, processing open enrollment.
Assists with all HR related audits as required, including the reporting of financial data.
Assists HR department in the development and/or management and maintenance of the Employee Handbook, Organizational Policies, Performance Mgt processes, etc. to ensure content is compliant and updated according to Integris standards.
Advises managers on employee relations issues as appropriate and HR best practices in handling them.
Assists in employment law regulation requirements and notifications across multiple states.
Participates in HR projects, such as engagement initiatives, events, surveys, training, and organizational development.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies to learn and develop further in the ongoing evolution of HR.
Process payroll, benefits, and leave programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
Collects and analyzes HR metrics to support decision-making.
Assists in the maintenance of HR documents and charts as determined by department needs.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications / Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
3–5+ years of HR experience (generalist or specialist roles).
HR certification and regular continuing education in areas of employment law strongly preferred (HRCI, aPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP).
Experience with HRIS systems and payroll/benefits administration.
Experience with analyzing HR Metrics, Dashboards, and Reports.
Aptitude to recognize multi-state employment laws and regulations that impact employees living/working in other states outside of Ohio.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and Adobe Acrobat preferred.
