Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a diligent, Litigation Paralegal to join our team on-site in our Newnan office. In this role, you will work closely with our attorney to manage personal injury claims from initial client intake through pre-litigation and active litigation/trial preparation. The ideal candidate is deeply organized, possesses strong writing skills, and has a firm grasp of Georgia civil litigation and court procedures.

Responsibilities

Assist attorney with all phases of civil and commercial litigation, including case filing, document review, and discovery management
Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies
Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence with precision and clarity
Manage case files using document management systems to ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
Coordinate depositions, interviews, and client meetings while maintaining detailed records of proceedings
Support attorneys with trial preparation by organizing exhibits, evidence logs, and witness lists
Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, maintaining calendars, and managing communication with clients and external parties
Ensure compliance with procedural laws and court rules across multiple jurisdictions to facilitate efficient case progression

Key Responsibilities:

Manage personal injury case files, including tracking medical treatment, gathering medical records and bills, and organizing insurance correspondence.
Draft legal documents, including demand letters, complaints, motions, discovery requests, and discovery responses.
Assist with electronic discovery (e-discovery) and manage document production.
Maintain the litigation calendar, coordinating deadlines, depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances.
Communicate professionally and empathetically with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel.
Conduct factual research and assist with trial or mediation preparation.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience: 0 years of experience required! This is an entry-level opportunity. Recent college graduates, career-switchers, or those with administrative experience are encouraged to apply.
Education: High school diploma required; an Associate’s Degree, Paralegal Certificate, or Bachelor's Degree is a plus, but not strictly mandatory for the right candidate.
Technical Skills: Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and comfortable learning new software quickly.
Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for helping people.
Workplace Requirement: This is strictly an in-person role based out of our Newnan, GA office.
