Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Grill Cook/Prep Cook to join our team at Guthrie Edition. This role involves preparing high-quality grilled dishes and assisting with food prep in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, excellent customer service skills, and comfort using our POS system to process cash and credit card transactions. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook grilled items according to established recipes and quality standards
Assist with food prep to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cooking and prep areas in compliance with safety and sanitation guidelines
Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests in a friendly and professional manner
Operate the POS system efficiently to process cash, credit card, and other transactions accurately
Ensure timely delivery of food orders while maintaining high standards of presentation and taste
Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive dining experience for all guests
Follow all safety procedures related to food handling, equipment use, and workplace safety

Qualifications

Previous experience as a grill cook or prep cook is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is valued
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests
Comfort using POS systems for processing transactions accurately
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is a plus
Positive attitude, teamwork-oriented mindset, and reliability are essential qualities for success in this role

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
