Company Overview:

Communities for People (CFP) is a non-profit agency serving youth and families through community-based programs and services. We are looking for a Clinician for the LIFE Residential Program. You will be instrumental in helping youth and families to achieve permanency, independence and integration into the community. CFP will provide you with professional experience, great benefits and pleasant working environment. EOE

JOB SUMMARY: Oversee the overall operations of a LIFE (Learning Independence Fostering Empowerment) Site and DYS Contract, including but not limited to upholding the agency’s philosophy of care, supervision of staff, ensuring needs of youth in program are met and following licensing guidelines for residential programs. Part of the MA Program Operations Team to help inform universal practices around hiring, training, compliance, and residential best practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide a safe and nurturing home-like environment reflective of inclusive and trauma-informed care.
Manage the direct care staffing schedule to ensure appropriate staffing coverage at all times.
Provides daytime leadership presence and may assume direct shift coverage when needed to ensure required staffing ratios and continuity of care are maintained.
Provide senior-level leadership for the full spectrum of DYS services.
Liaison with HR on hiring and orientation practices of new LIFE staff
Responsible for universal practices around ensuring full compliance with DYS requirements.
Directly supervise on-site direct staff; models and reinforces a strengths-based, trauma-informed team culture, ensuring staff feel supported, engaged, and aligned around program goals and DYS expectations.
Support ongoing staff professional development by ensuring that staff receive all required training, complete probation and annual performance evaluations, address disciplinary issues consistently in accordance with agency policy and provide consistent coaching and support to on-site direct care staff.
Ensure the safety and well-being of program residents.
Work collaboratively with program clinical staff to manage referrals to program, the admissions process and coordinate all resident intake and discharge planning.
Work collaboratively with program clinical staff to ensure that residents’ educational, vocational, physical health and behavioral health needs are met.
Manage weekly house budget to ensure that all residents’ nutritional, daily care and transportation needs are met, that adequate household supplies are available at the site and to meet any routine household maintenance needs.
Ensure that resident medication is stored properly and administered according to CFP/DYS policy and procedure
Ensure that all relevant CFP/DYS policies regarding program administration are consistently followed by all program staff.
Attend all required CFP and DYS residential management meetings.
Work collaboratively with the LIFE Program Management team to ensure that all ongoing compliance and contractual responsibilities are met according to required timeframes.
Participate in agency-wide activities to implement the ARC model of trauma-informed care, maintain CARF accreditation and improve the services and supports provided to agency workforce and the children and families served by the agency.
Participate in the CFP MA residential on-call rotation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Good writing and documentation skills as well as organizational ability. Ability to manage budgets. Must be able to provide culturally responsive leadership and able to work with a diverse group of residents and staff. Must have a current driver’s license and own vehicle.

Must complete BASIC, CCMA and other DYS required trainings within 3 months of hire date.

EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors in human services or related field preferred and at least 3-5 years prior experience working with children involved in the juvenile justice system. Minimum of 2 to 3 of those years in a supervisory/management role.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
