Full Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting team. This position is responsible for processing invoices, maintaining accurate vendor records, ensuring timely payments, and supporting the overall accounts payable function. The ideal candidate is dependable, accurate, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Responsibilities

Process invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
Match invoices with purchase orders and supporting documentation.
Review invoices for proper approvals and coding.
Prepare and process weekly check, ACH, virtual card, and electronic payment runs.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Communicate professionally with vendors, external and internal departments regarding payment inquiries.
Maintain accurate vendor files and documentation.
Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
Process employee expense reimbursements.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
Assist with special projects and perform other accounting or administrative duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of four years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
Experience using Sage Intacct accounting software is preferred.
Experience using accounts payable automation software is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
Positive attitude and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
