About us

ECF Engineering Consultants is a full-service engineering firm that specializes in providing technical solution services to the Energy Markets, as well as public and private sectors, requiring electrical and mechanical engineering support.

We serve those entities on an array of projects, offering consultation on technology utilization, design solutions for electrical and mechanical systems, public health systems, and equipment procurement and construction phase services.

Overview

Under general supervision, the Distribution Project Support Technician will assist with multiple projects concurrently. The individual will have comprehensive knowledge of ongoing distribution projects and will collaborate closely with designers and technicians to support various aspects, including reporting and tracking. The role involves coordinating with department leaders to ensure adherence to project timelines. Additionally, it entails coordinating assigned activities with other divisions, external agencies, small businesses, and applicants as necessary, along with performing related duties as assigned. The individual will be assigned to specific projects with corresponding guidelines for their responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate a strong commitment to safe practices.
Monitor work queues regularly for incoming tasks
Complete work within designated timelines.
Manage multiple ongoing projects until they reach completion.
Plan, organize, coordinate, and evaluate projects and operations across various departments that support distribution engineering.
Respond to customer and internal inquiries regarding project requirements and status updates.
Comprehend the methodology for interpreting construction prints and drawings.
Use of GIS (Geographic Information System) applications

Responsibilities for supporting Interconnection:

Follow projects from the initial review to permission to operate
Reviewing applications and drawings associated with DER (Distributed Energy Resources) interconnection
Interconnection portal workflows and application processing
Customer site plan review and evaluation
Electrical one-line diagram review and interpretation

Responsibilities for supporting Distribution Design:

Understand the process of planning, organizing, coordinating, and evaluating projects and operations within the Distribution Engineering department
Knowledge of permit processes (scoping, review, and drawing preparation)

Position Requirements:

Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience related to distribution engineering or a related field (preferred but not required).
High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of related experience; An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Adobe Acrobat; Visio (Preferred) and AutoCAD (Preferred)
Experience in construction and/or project management may also be considered as qualifying experience.
Strong interpersonal skills and customer relations
Ability to verify information for accuracy and completeness, and to identify areas that need improvement
Utilize email, productivity, and communication tools to work effectively with team members and clients.
Maintain accurate records and respond to emails and messages in a timely manner.
Communicate effectively both verbally and in written form.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
