Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our vibrant food service team. In this role, you will support the overall operation of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. You will assist in managing daily kitchen activities, supervising staff, and maintaining efficient workflows in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

Assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
Support staff training and development to uphold food safety standards and excellent customer service.
Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, ensuring proper staffing levels, task delegation, and adherence to safety protocols.
Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste using systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS.
Ensure compliance with food handling regulations and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen.
Assist with shift management duties such as scheduling, cash handling, and resolving operational issues promptly.
Collaborate with management on budgeting, food production planning, and implementing new menu items or procedures.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a quick service or fast food restaurant environment.
Strong supervisory skills with previous experience in staff training and team management.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and inventory tracking.
Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
Experience working in casual dining or fine dining settings; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving and shift supervision.
