Full Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a professional, detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our growing medical team in the Athens/Madison area.

This is a fast-paced, patient-facing role ideal for candidates with prior experience in a medical office, urgent care, or primary care setting who are comfortable managing multiple responsibilities while delivering excellent patient service.

What You’ll Do

Greet and check in patients with a friendly, professional demeanor
Accurately enter and update patient information in EMR systems
Verify insurance eligibility and collect copays
Communicate wait times and keep patients informed
Answer phones and route calls appropriately
Coordinate referrals, including prior authorizations and documentation
Contact patients with results or provider follow-up instructions
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office
Support administrative tasks such as scanning and faxing
Work closely with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow

What We’re Looking For

1+ year of medical office experience preferred (urgent care, primary care, or specialty clinic)
Experience with insurance verification and EMR systems strongly preferred
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and customer service skills
Reliable, professional, and team-oriented

Schedule

Full-time position
Clinic hours: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Weekend hours: Saturday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Sunday 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Weekend shifts are shared/rotational across staff

Pay & Benefits

$16–18 per hour (based on experience)
