Full Job Description

CNC Machinist

Fairview Machine is a provider of precision machining, engineering design services and assembly is seeking experienced CNC individuals to fulfill roles in our machine shop located in Topsfield MA. Must have the ability to work in a fast paced, manufacturing shop environment meeting customer needs and requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Operates CNC Machines to perform different jobs.
Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
Check machinery on a daily basis to guarantee functionality.
Understand quality and production within company specifications, goals, and objectives.
Comply with all safety and environmental rules and regulations; comply with internal company practices.
Support all 5S and lean initiatives.
Report any issues to the Production Supervisor.
Maintain proper training, tools, and materials to carry out his/her duties.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of CNC & Set up a plus.
Must possess basic knowledge of math & measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, veneers, gauges etc.
Ability to understand blueprints and schematics.
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
Ability to stand and walk for up to ten hours.
Ability to bend and squat.
