Full Job Description

Job Summary

The Agents Companies is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk with 1-2 years of experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing incoming payments, maintaining financial records, and ensuring customer invoices are paid on time. This entry-level role is perfect for someone looking to start or further their career in finance.

Qualifications

Experience: 1-2 years of Accounting / Administrative experience is Required
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Apply Customer payments to corresponding accounts in a timely and accurate manner
and update daily totals spreadsheet.
Provide customer service to inbound calls for payments and questions, process and
Review account adjustments, help resolve discrepancies.
Send collection emails to clients as per collection standards. Update weekly collections
notes and reports.
Communicate and follow up effectively, timely and record all communications.

Time spent on specific responsibility areas in order of most to least:

Applying payments and answering the phone
Sending and responding to Collection emails
Mailing statements and collection letters
Updating reports, Sending COIs and lien waivers
Collection phone calls and various admin tasks

Skills:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in Google Workspace (Google Sheets, Google Docs).
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Effective communication skills with internal teams and external customers.
Familiarity with accounting software is a plus but not required; training will be provided.

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
