Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are prepped and ready for cooking. This position requires a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties

Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients according to recipes.
Ensure that all food items are stored properly and labeled in compliance with food safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
Support the head cook or chef in catering events by preparing large quantities of food as needed.
Follow all food handling guidelines to ensure the safety and quality of meals served.
Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen setting is required. (1 year minimum)
Familiarity with culinary techniques and food preparation methods is beneficial.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in handling ingredients is essential.
Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to help others in the kitchen environment.
Must have urgency
Must have good knife skills
