Shatz, Schwartz and Fentin, P.C. currently has an opportunity for a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal in our Springfield office. The paralegal supports the real estate department through client support, document development, and administrative duties.

Responsibilities Include

· Assist in facilitation of purchases, sales and financing of commercial real estate from pre to post-closing

· Prepare Pro Forma title policies, final title policies and endorsements, as well as all related title forms and documents

· Draft, prepare and/or edit legal documents and correspondences

· Perform administrative, clerical and office support, such as: scheduling meetings; copying, scanning, assembling, retrieving, indexing, and purging files

· Create and maintain spreadsheets and databases of records and other information

· Maintain and organize client files

· Assist supervisor or other designated person with other tasks as requested

Requirements Include

· BA in paralegal studies (or equivalent experience). Paralegal certification preferred.

· Minimum 4 years’ experience working as a paralegal, legal assistant, or in a related role

· Excellent writing ability and analytical thinking

· Highly organized, with a track record of meeting short- and long-term responsibilities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree (or commensurate experience) and a minimum of 2 years' experience in all aspects of commercial real estate. Experience with large commercial closings is a plus. Wage between $52,000 – $65,000 depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits and parking.
