Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting financial compliance. Your expertise in accounting systems and financial software will help streamline operations and uphold the integrity of our financial data. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization committed to excellence in financial management.

Responsibilities

Process and verify a high volume of invoices using Foundation Software platform ensuring adherence to company policies and GAAP standards.
Perform detailed account reconciliations, including general ledger reconciliation and journal entries, to maintain accurate financial records.
Review and resolve discrepancies related to debits & credits, invoice errors, or missing documentation promptly.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information while handling data entry tasks with precision using Excel data analysis techniques, including formulas and VLOOKUP functions.

Skills

Strong understanding of accounting principles including GAAP, double entry bookkeeping, and corporate accounting practices.
Proficiency in financial software systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, Foundation
Experience with accounts payable processes, invoice processing, account reconciliation, and journal entries.
Skilled in Excel data analysis, including advanced formulas and functions like VLOOKUP for efficient data management.
Knowledge of accounts payable automation tools and financial compliance standards such as SOX.
Excellent attention to detail with strong analysis skills for identifying discrepancies or errors in financial data.
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
