Position Description

HOH is seeking an Illinois-licensed Architect with 10+ years of experience in architectural design, project management, and Building Information Modeling (BIM). This leadership role combines architectural design expertise with BIM management, overseeing projects from concept through construction while advancing the firm's digital delivery standards and multidisciplinary coordination.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with experience delivering municipal, transportation, commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and energy projects using Revit and BIM-based workflows.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead architectural projects from programming and design through construction administration.
Manage multidisciplinary coordination with engineering and specialty consultants using BIM workflows.
Develop and maintain Revit models, BIM standards, templates, and project execution plans.
Coordinate model integration, clash detection, and constructability reviews.
Prepare and oversee construction documents, specifications, schedules, and technical details.
Perform code analysis and ensure compliance with applicable building, life safety, accessibility (ADA), and energy codes.
Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and quality throughout project delivery.
Conduct QA/QC reviews, respond to RFIs, review submittals, and perform site observations during construction.
Mentor architectural staff on design, Revit, BIM standards, and digital project delivery.
Evaluate emerging BIM technologies and recommend process improvements that enhance collaboration and project efficiency.

Qualifications

Licensed Architect in the State of Illinois.
Minimum of 10 years of architectural design and project management experience.
Demonstrated experience leading BIM-enabled projects and multidisciplinary coordination.
Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud and Navisworks is preferred.
Strong knowledge of the International Building Code (IBC), NFPA, ADA, and sustainable design principles.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Benefits and Compensation

The salary range for this position is $100,000–$160,000, based on qualifications and experience.
