Full Job Description

Position Summary

Ventana is seeking a Schedule Manager to lead the development, maintenance, analysis, and communication of project schedules across small, medium, and large-scale construction projects. This role partners closely with Project Managers, Project Directors, Operations Leadership, field teams, and Executive Leadership to ensure project milestones are clearly defined, actively managed, and consistently achieved.

The Schedule Manager will own schedule strategy from pursuit through closeout, maintain CPM schedule integrity, evaluate schedule performance, identify risks, and communicate impacts and recovery strategies across project teams. This position plays a key role in aligning project execution plans, contractual milestone commitments, production sequencing, and operational priorities throughout the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead the development, maintenance, and ownership of project schedules from pursuit through project closeout.

· Collaborate with Project Managers, Project Directors, Directors of Operations, field leadership, and project teams to establish, manage, and update project milestones.

· Ensure schedule milestones align with contractual commitments, execution plans, procurement strategies, fabrication requirements, installation sequencing, and operational goals.

· Develop, maintain, and analyze CPM schedules, ensuring logic integrity, accurate progress measurement, and reliable forecasting.

· Communicate schedule updates, changes, risks, and impacts clearly and proactively to project teams, operations leadership, and executive stakeholders.

· Facilitate schedule alignment meetings to review milestone status, sequencing, constraints, critical path impacts, and recovery plans.

· Lead project schedule handoffs to ensure baseline schedules, milestone expectations, and execution strategies are understood by the project team.

· Participate in contract and subcontract reviews with emphasis on schedule requirements, milestones, sequencing risks, and schedule-driven obligations.

· Maintain schedule integrity through disciplined updates, forecasting, change analysis, and data-driven reporting.

· Identify schedule risks early and collaborate with project and operations teams to develop mitigation and recovery strategies.

· Support change management by analyzing schedule impacts, assisting with time impact analyses, and tracking schedule-related changes through approval.

· Monitor productivity trends, installed quantities, and milestone performance to assess overall schedule health.

· Develop and implement scheduling tools, dashboards, and reporting methods to improve schedule visibility, accountability, and decision-making.

· Provide production tracking and milestone visibility using company-standard tools and reporting processes.

· Supervise and guide Project Management Team, including daily oversight, schedule reviews, process coaching, and ad hoc analysis support.

Job-Specific Competencies

· Serves as the primary scheduling partner to Project Managers, Project Directors, and Operations Leadership.

· Drives accountability for milestone commitments across a portfolio of projects.

· Coordinates internal and external schedule reporting through accurate data analysis, interpretation, and communication.

· Supports project planning through milestone compliance reporting, look-ahead planning, critical path analysis, and recovery planning.

· Leads cross-functional coordination efforts to resolve schedule conflicts and execution challenges.

· Anticipates client, project team, and leadership concerns related to schedule and proactively communicates solutions.

· Understands contractual milestone expectations and recognizes events that may impact project delivery.

· Audits and refines schedule update processes to improve accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.

· Provides leadership, direction, and technical guidance to Scheduling Specialists.

Required Qualifications

· 5-8 years of progressive construction industry experience, with a strong emphasis on project scheduling.

· Demonstrated proficiency in Critical Path Method scheduling, including schedule development, updates, analysis, forecasting, and impact evaluation.

· Advanced working knowledge of construction scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.

· Ability to independently manage project schedules from preconstruction through project closeout.

· Strong understanding of construction operations, production sequencing, procurement/fabrication lead times, installation logic, and schedule-driven project execution.

· Ability to collaborate with project management, operations, field leadership, and executive stakeholders to maintain accurate, executable, and recoverable project schedules.

· Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

· Ability to clearly present schedule data, risks, impacts, and recovery strategies to internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with specialty subcontractor operations.

· Experience with facade, curtain wall, glazing, building enclosure, architectural wall systems, or data center enclososures.

· Familiarity with production tracking, installed quantities, progress measurement, procurement tracking, fabrication schedules, and milestone-based reporting.

· Experience supporting time impact analyses, change management, delay documentation, and claims-related schedule narratives.

· Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
