Duties

Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, cookies, and other confections, ensuring consistency and quality in every item
Design and execute intricate cake decorating techniques for special events and daily offerings
Manage food preparation tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment, adhering to recipes and portion controls
Oversee packaging of baked goods for retail or catering purposes, ensuring presentation aligns with brand standards
Maintain strict food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices in line with food safety management systems
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and seasonal dessert menus that excite customers
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests about our pastry offerings and catering options

Requirements

Proven pastry experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating baking skills, cake decorating, and creative presentation
Extensive kitchen experience in high-volume food production environments such as bakeries or restaurants
Proficiency in food handling, safety procedures, and food safety certifications required by local regulations
Skilled in food industry best practices including knife skills, food preparation techniques, and baking methods
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
Strong culinary experience with knowledge of catering operations and restaurant workflows
Excellent communication skills coupled with a customer-focused attitude to enhance guest satisfaction
