Full Job Description

Title: Shipping Clerk

Reports to: Shipping Manager

Based at: MIMI Huron, OH

Type of Employment: Full time, permanent, 5/6 days a week on day shift and potentially extended hours depending on workload and priorities

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Must be willing and able to work a steady day shift
Check all outbound scans and verify against P.O.’s
Prepare outbound paperwork
Inspect shipment documentation for quantities, descriptions, and proper goods
Conduct physical inventory and cycle counts of outbound materials
Data Entry as assigned by shipping supervisor or manager
Investigate shipping related concerns/ Issues
Assign check-ins and check-outs within TMS
Data entry within temperature recording portals
Data entry within customer platforms, (ASN, ITrade)
Any other administrative duties assigned by management
Emailing Carriers PODs and following up on priority emails

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Completion of High School, GED, or equivalent is required
Must have at least 1 year of experience as a shipping clerk, customs, or similar role
Strong organizational, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Knowledge of Famous is considered an asset
Must be a team player, able to multi-task and learn quickly
Must have strong sense of urgency
Must be able to communicate in a clear and concise manner, (verbally and written) in English
Must be able to function in a high capacity within a stressful work environment
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Physical Abilities:

Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time
Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs
Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs
Must be able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time
Must be able to work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 ˚C / 55 ˚F
