Critical Care Transport (CCT) Registered Nurses Needed for Ambulance Transport working in Gardena, Orange County or Irwindale depending on availability. Full and part-time positions currently available - 24 hour shifts. You can work 24 hour shifts, 2 days a week and thats only 105 days a year! And built in overtime!

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Critical Care Transport Nurse performs essential life support, advanced life support, and critical care nursing. The CCT Transport Nurse provides direct patient care to the ill for patients who require cardiac monitoring, IV medications, and ventilators. Applicable ambulance transports are performed for critically ill patients needing transfer between two hospitals for continuing care services at a higher level of care due to services not being available at the sending hospital.

About the Position:

JOIN US! WE ARE HIRING FOR OUR CRITICAL CARE TRANSPORT TEAM. THESE FOLKS ARE MEDICS, RNS, AND EMTS ON MOBILE AMBULANCES TRANSPORTING CRITICALLY ILL PATIENTS.

A typical day consists of waiting on stand-by for a trauma that requires a mobile intensive unit with a rapid response that is equipped for medical emergencies.

This job requires the RN to be in command and control of the ambulance and mobile team acting quickly on the best method to ensure the stability of the patient while providing immediate medical relief for the patient in preparation for further medical aids once the care has been transferred to the receiving hospital.

Only the most successful candidates with the most EMERGENCY MEDICAL experience will be invited for an interview. We have available 24 hour shifts at this time.

First responders of Critical Care Transport Teams must be flexible to meet the demands of an ever-changing scene and be prepared for complex patient care that must be started immediately.

Required Credentials:

To be eligible, you must possess the following credentials:

California Registered Nurse's License
BLS/CPR
ACLS
PALS
Must have a current VOE - Los Angeles County EMS system, a VOE refers to a Verification of Exemption (not to be confused with a Verification of Employment). A VOE is required for private ambulance providers operating Critical Care Transport (CCT) units to run Code 3 (lights and sirens) because it allows specialized medical personnel to practice beyond a standard paramedic scope of practice.

Experience Required:
RN Two (2) years of critical care (ER, ICU, or other critical care areas) within the previous 2 years - no lapses.
