Front Office Supervisor (2nd Shift)

The Hyatt Regency Coralville Hotel & Conference Center is seeking a motivated, service-driven Front Office Supervisor to lead our evening Front Office team. In this hands-on leadership role, you'll coach associates, support daily operations, and ensure every guest receives the warm, welcoming experience Hyatt is known for.

Schedule & Pay

Full-time
2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Weekend availability required
$18.00–$20.00/hour, commensurate with experience

What You'll Do

As the Front Office Supervisor, you'll lead the front desk operation during one of the hotel's busiest shifts while ensuring exceptional guest service and smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities include:

Supervise and support Front Desk Associates and Bell Staff throughout the shift
Serve as the primary point of contact for guest concerns and service recovery
Ensure efficient, accurate check-in and check-out experiences
Monitor room inventory, availability, upgrades, and special requests
Coordinate VIP arrivals, group check-ins, and special accommodations
Maintain accurate cash handling and house bank procedures
Complete daily reports, shift checklists, and pass-along communication
Communicate effectively with Housekeeping, Engineering, and other departments
Coach, train, and support front desk associates
Ensure Front Office organization, cleanliness, and Hyatt brand standards
Jump in wherever needed to support the team and deliver outstanding guest service

Qualifications:

Previous Front Desk or Guest Services experience required
Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Outstanding customer service and communication skills
Strong leadership and coaching abilities
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask while remaining calm under pressure
Comfortable learning hotel systems and technology
Ability to stand and move throughout the shift
