Full Job Description

Veterinary Receptionist

The Veterinary Receptionist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while serving as the first point of contact for clients and their pets. Duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, greeting clients, processing payments, maintaining accurate medical records, and assisting with general administrative tasks. The Veterinary Receptionist works closely with veterinarians and support staff to ensure efficient daily operations and a positive experience for clients and patients.

Responsibilities include:

Greeting clients and checking patients in and out for appointments
Answering phones and responding to client inquiries
Scheduling appointments and managing the daily schedule
Processing invoices and payments
Maintaining accurate client and patient records
Communicating with clients regarding appointments, medications, and follow-up care
Assisting with administrative and clerical tasks as needed

Qualifications:

Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Basic computer proficiency
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Previous veterinary or medical office experience preferred but not required
Compassion for animals and their owners

Veterinary Assistant Responsibilities include:

Assisting with patient restraint and handling during examinations and procedures
Preparing exam rooms and treatment areas
Cleaning, stocking, and maintaining hospital equipment and supplies
Assisting with laboratory sample collection and processing as directed
Supporting surgical and treatment procedures as needed
Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
Providing exceptional customer service to clients and assisting with patient discharge instructions
Performing cleaning and sanitation duties throughout the hospital to maintain a safe environment

Qualifications:

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to lift and restrain animals of various sizes safely
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities throughout the day
Previous veterinary experience preferred but not required
Compassion for animals and commitment to excellent patient care

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
