Full Job Description

JOB TITLE: Legal Billing Specialist

LOCATION: Northville, MI 48167(ON-SITE)

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time

PAY RANGE: Dependent upon experience

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Detail-oriented administrative and billing professional with experience supporting financial operations, managing accounts receivable and payable, accurately handling and entering deposits, reconciling accounts, and providing exceptional client service. Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to learn new software, with strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Experienced working independently, meeting deadlines, and resolving billing inquiries accurately and professionally. Familiarity with legal billing software, including TABS3, is a plus, with a proven ability to adapt to new systems efficiently.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Billing and invoice processing
Accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP)
Account reconciliation
Collections and past-due follow-up
Financial reporting
Client communication
Data entry and accuracy
Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Billing software (TABS3, if applicable)
Confidential records management
Time management and organization
Attention to detail

EXPERIENCE:

Processed invoices and maintained accurate billing records while ensuring timely payments.
Reconciled client accounts and investigated billing discrepancies.
Monitored accounts receivable and followed up on outstanding balances.
Assisted with accounts payable, deposits, and financial recordkeeping.
Responded to client billing inquiries and coordinated payment arrangements.
Generated billing and financial reports to support management.
Maintained confidential financial and client information in compliance with company policies.
Collaborated with staff and management to ensure accurate and timely billing.
